RCA's Western Union T20 event begins with a flourish

RIYADH — Riyadh Cricket Association has Western Union T20 Cricket Tourney. This is 2nd event of the season 2019-20. Fifty-six teams are participating in the tournament which is divided into four leagues namely Al Kharaj League (10 teams), Huraymala League (12 teams), Hayer League (18 teams) and Diriyah League (16 teams). Tournament is sponsored by Western Union Money Transfer.
Alkharaj League: In the opening match, Royce White Star defeated Pak Force by 67 runs. Royce White compiled 201 for 9. Meher Umar Bashir smashed 75 and Fahad hit 27. Aziz claimed 3 while Naseer and Hamza took 2 wickets each. In reply, Pak Force was restricted to 134 runs only. Hamza scored 49, Mohasan managed 25. Ishfaq bagged 5 wickets and Rashid got 2 wickets.
Fonte Star lost to Pak Force by 6 wickets. Fonte totaled 177 for 6 wickets. Bilal Wani banged 55 and Yasir bashed 55. Azaz grabbed 2 wickets. Pak Force scored the required 178 runs in 18.2 overs. Hamza played a stunning knock of 104, Rehan belted 24. Kashif clinched 2 wickets.
Diriyah League: Phoenix beat Green Stonz by 3 wickets. Stonz posted 160 for 9. Umair hit 50 and Parvaiz 31. Ammar picked 3 while Antar and Mujtaba got 2 wickets each. Phoenix edged home in 19.4 overs. Subayyal scored 55 and Ammar helped with 26. Abubaker and Sajjad picked up 3 wickets each.
Insaf got better of Kohsar Green by 9 wickets. Kohsar scored a below par 144 for 8 wickets. Suhail and Mehtab resisted with 25 and 24 respectively. Mateen claimed 3 and Waqar bagged 2 wickets. Insaf rushed to the target in 11.3 overs. Ilyas topscored with 75 and Ali hit 49.
Khyber Zalmi thrashed Shadin Bangla by 7 wickets. Bangla accumulated 201/7. Mohasin smashed 67, Mosabbir slammed 60. Haider and Shakir sealed 3 wickets each. Khyber chased the tally in 12.3 overs. Manzoor hit 102 and Shakir smashed 48. Zarshad picked up 2 wickets.
Knight Hawks trounced Gujrat Lions by 7 wickets. Gujrat scored 189 for 8. Farid scored 36, Yusuf made 27. Arman, Rashid and Nigel took 2 wickets each. Hawks chased down the target in 17.2 overs. Haroon whacked 80 and Adil banged 55.
Khyber Zalmi beat Kams Indopak by 59 runs. Khyber piled up 188 for the loss of 9 wickets. Manzoor 32 and Shazib 29 batted well. Zaheer and Wahid picked up 3 wickets each. Kams fumbled to 129 in reply. Ikhlaq resisted with 23. Zakir clinched 3 while Waqar and Haider sealed 2 wickets each.
Almarai Cheese pounded Kohsar by 8 wickets. Kohsar managed 165. Sohail 59 and Mehtab 52 scored. Majeed snared 4 wickets and Umair took 2 wickets. Almarai rushed to the target in 12.2 overs. Amir 76 and Umair 60 played match-winning knocks.
Pakhtoon clipped Knight Hawks by 4 runs. Pakhtoon managed 181 /7. Noman topscored with 52, Arshad hit 30. Uzair took 3 and Arman got 2 wickets. Hawks fought hard but managed 177 in reply. Haroon hit 60 and Adil scored 34. Mohib, Aftab and Shahzad claimed 2 wickets each.
Insaf won a thriller against Almarai Cheese by 4 wickets. Almarai posted a massive total of 270 for 5. Amir Butt scored a stunning 171 while Umair assisted with 72. Waqar grabbed 3 wickets. Thanks to fighting knocks from Adeel 89, Ilyas 69 and Ijaz 39, Insaf chased down the target in 19.3 overs. Husnain took 3 wickets for Almarai.
Pakhtoon won their second match against Gujrat Lions by 55 runs. Pakhtoon smashed 252 for 1 wicket. Afzal batted brilliantly for his 150 and Aftab helped with 58. Gujrat managed 197 runs in reply. Farid scored 69 and Sultan did 35. Hameed clinched 4 and Wahid Ullah grabbed 2 wickets.
