KFSH Blues champions of Western Union T20

RIYADH — KFSH Blues emerged champions of Western Union T20 tournament. The No. 1 ranked RCA team empathically defeated AR Sports Green in the final. This event is being organized by Riyadh Cricket Association and is sponsored by Western Union Money Transfer.
Alkharaj League: In the grand finale, KFSH Blues defeated AR Sports Green by 52 runs. Batting first, KFSH posted a gigantic total 263 for 7. Iftikhar led the inning with fiery 95 and was assisted by Usman 45 and Khurram 44. Ahmed claimed 3 and Adnan took 2 wickets. In reply, AR Green was restricted to 211 runs only. Mudassar hammered 50 and Ahmed stroked 46 while Waqas scored 37. Mateen and Iftikhar shared 2 wickets each. Iftikhar Ali was declared man of the match.
Earlier in semifinals, KFSH Blues thrashed Raavi by 7 wickets. Raavi collapsed to below par total of 110. Iftikhar grabbed 4 haul, Mateen picked up 3 and Munawar took 2 wickets. Abu Baker top scored with 35. KFSH chased down the target in just 10 overs. Usman slogged 34 while Nasir and Khurram belted 26 runs each. Abu Baker claimed 3 wickets.
In other semifinal, AR Green won against Royce White Star. Royce added 211 for 9. Haseb whacked 86 and Qasim notched 46. Adnan snared 4 and Waqas took 2 wickets. AR won in17.5 overs. Ahmed hit ton scoring 108 and Adnan smashed 50.
Diriyah League: Deccan Charges and Khyber Zalmi will face each other in the final of Diriyah League. In the semifinal, Deccan won a thriller against Almarai by 1 run. Deccan stacked 209 for 5. Mubashir slogged 81 and Imroz bashed 48 while Hafeez scored 40. Umair and Hasnain picked up 2 wickets each. Almarai scored 208, falling just 1 run short. Umair belted 85 and Raja made 38. Imroz clinched 2 wickets.
In the other semifinal, Khyber Zalmi defeated Phoenix by 10 runs. Zalmi posted 205 for 6. Haider smacked 52 and Shakir did 40 while Adnan pushed 33. Ammar and Shamroze took 2 wickets each. Fifties from Adeel 56 and Haseeb 54 went in vain as Phoenix scrambled to 195 runs in reply. Subayyal also batted well for his 48. Waqar got 2 wickets.
In the quarterfinal, Deccan Chargers won a super-over cliffhanger against Karachi Kings. Karachi collated 209 for 4 wickets. Imroz showed his class with 73 and Khalid supported with 34. Umar took 2 wickets. Deccan equaled the score losing 6 wickets. Zain 61 and Faiz 54 scored fifties. Khalid and Gayan claimed 2 wickets each. In super-over Karachi scored 11 runs which Deccan achieved in 4 balls.
Almarai won against Knight Hawks. Hawks added 170/9. Rashid top scored with 56. Umair, Khalid and Gupta bagged 2 wickets each. Almarai got the target in 19.4 overs. Waseem led the innings with his 41 while Raja 34 and Raheel 31 also batted well. Rashid took 4 wickets and Arman picked up 2 wickets.
Khyber Zalmi won against Pakhtoon. Khyber added 204. Adnan stroked 70 and Shakir helped with 39. Adnan claimed 5 wickets haul. Pakhtoon fumbled to 168 runs in reply. Ikram 39 and Haroon 31 resisted with bat. Nawab clinched 3 and Wali took 2 wickets.
Phoenix won against Gujrat lions. Gujrat scored 168/2. Mitesh smashed 62 and Mohsin hit 40. Phoenix achieved the target in 18.4 overs. Asif hammered 54 and Rameez stroked 50 while Adeel Javed scored 33.
