Okaz/Saudi Gazette JEDDAH — The Director of Jeddah Traffic Department Brig. Gen. Salman Al-Jumaiyi has confirmed that traffic has been diverted on Prince Muhammad Bin Abdulaziz Road (formerly Tahlia Road) from Al-Saif Square in the north and on Prince Sultan Road in the south. Traffic has been diverted from Al-Nawras traffic signal for those coming from the north and towards the east on Prince Naif Bin Abdulaziz Road. For those coming from the south, traffic flow has been diverted from the intersection between the Corniche Road and Sari Road towards the east. Traffic flow has been diverted from Al-Anani Roundabout and back towards Al-Andalus Road and eastwards. He added that means of public transport are available for the public to use for reaching the venues of events and activities at Sultan, Andalus and Yasmin malls. The Director of Jeddah Traffic Department said the Kingdom's National Day comes to highlight the history of a nation replete with great accomplishments and epics since its founding by the late King Abdulaziz (May Allah have mercy on his soul). It was on this day that history registered the birth of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia after great epics led by the founder King in unifying this nation. "Every year the people of the Kingdom celebrate this day and recall these great epics and heroic deeds to illuminate our road ahead and rekindle the ambitions to contribute even more to our dear nation," he said. He added: "The big celebrations the Kingdom's cities are witnessing and Jeddah governorate in particular depicts the great happiness everyone is feeling toward the nation and its leaders (May Allah Almighty protect them)." Al-Jumaiyi further said that on this occasion, Jeddah Traffic Department shares with all their great joy and contributes to achieving this happiness by providing an atmosphere of traffic safety and achieve the highest level of streamlined flow of traffic for the residents of Jeddah and its visitors. This is being achieved by laying down a field plan in which all the Jeddah Traffic Department personnel are participating. Al-Jumaiyi has stressed that the Jeddah Traffic Department will not be an obstacle to achieving this happiness. He called on all to express their joy on this occasion in such a manner that it shows the lofty level the nation and citizens have attained especially with regard to traffic aspects (and abiding by traffic rules and instructions).
