Saudi Gazette JEDDAH — As part of "Jeddah Season" four-day Asian cultural and entertainment festival begins at The Track here on June 20. This was announced by Murad Al-Subhi, chief organizer of the Happy Eid Asia, and Nousheen Waseem, advisor Saudi General Entertainment Authority (GEA),and supervisor of the event, recently. Al-Subhi expressed gratitude to Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman and Crown Prince Muhammad Bin Salman for giving opportuny to all Asian communities to come forward to do such activities and host various entertainment events. Al-Subhi said that during the festival live dances and musical performances along with authentic cultural programs highlighting the colorful diversity of Pakistan, India, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka will be presented. He said this will be the first-ever event of its kind in Jeddah and famous singer from Pakistan, Abrar ul Haq will perform on June 21. Mohammed Aslam from India will perform on June 22 and 23. Other local artists include Naeem Sindhi (singer), Waleed Al Hashmi (fire show/illusionist), Deccan Drollz (standup comedy), local singer Sikander Ali, Pearl Shine Band (Live Band) from Sri Lanka, Fareed Ali Khan (singer), Wajid & Mohd Ali (dholak live), Selim (singer) Pearl Shine Band (Live Band), Royal Road Band (Live Band), Top One (Bikers team), DJ Amaan (sound engineer) and Mohammedi (emcee), Subhi added. Nousheen said a large number of women, children and their families are expected to attend the Asia Festival. The event will start at 4.30 pm and close at 11.30 p.m. every day — covering almost 5,000 people per day or even more as the venue can accommodate 10,000 people. She said all measures have been taken to control and serve the crowd with the support of Saudi authorities. She said at the venue can be reached within 8 minutes from Arab Mall Madinah Road.
