RIYADH – Hundreds of events and activities are being held throughout the Kingdom as part of the five-day "Eid Season" festival, providing entertainment and enjoyment to all segments of the society, citizens and expatriates alike. The General Entertainment Authority (GEA) launched the festival with a unified and comprehensive visual identity across the Kingdom for the first time. The Eid Season festival consists of more than 350 events and over 900 shows aimed at providing entertainment to all sections of the society, including individuals, families, and residents of neighborhoods for five days starting from the first day of Eid in various regions across the Kingdom. GEA strives to provide remarkable and world-class events held for the first time to emphasize the importance of continuously developing the entertainment industry. Festivals are being organized at several parks and public spaces, where families and individuals alike have access free-of-charge. The authority is organizing 10 major recreational festivals as part of the Eid Season. "The events in Riyadh include "Cruise of Entertainment' activities at King Abdullah Park in Malaz; ‘Eid Vibes' at Hezam Park in Al-Rafiah; ‘Bahjat Al Riyadh' in the festivals stadium on King Abdullah Road and the Eastern Ring, and ‘Mudawi' festival at King Fahad National Library's garden. As part of the Eid Season"festival, Jeddah Mayoralty rolled out on Wednesday several events, including folklore art shows, children's theater performances, as well as recreational competitions and gifts for children. Large number of local residents and visitors are taking part in these events. Eid Season events include musical performances from renowned Saudi singer Mohammed Abdo, Emirati singer Ahlam, Egypt's Amr Diab, and Lebanon's Nancy Ajram. The Jeddah Chamber of Commerce and Industry is also organizing "Jeddah Season" festival activities from June 8 to 18. Hassan Dhahlan, secretary general of the chamber, said that the festival aims to strengthen the community development through youth empowerment and explore Jeddah's tourism potential for the benefit of the small and medium companies. More than 70,000 people attended the first two days of the Eid festival activities, titled "This Eid" being held in Madinah. In the Eastern Province, the ‘Eid Village' is being held at Dammam's King Fahd Park; ‘Eid Festivities' in Al-Khobar waterfront; ‘Eid Carnival' at King Abdullah Park and ‘Kites' event at Juatha park in Al-Ahsa.
