Saudi Arabia welcomed Umrah pilgrims from Qatar upon their arrival at King Abdulaziz International Airport (KAIA) in Jeddah, enabling them to book Umrah packages directly at the airport, no longer needing to do it at home, the Saudi Press Agency reported on Friday quoting Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah. The move comes following the blockage of Umrah-package electronic link allocated by the Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah to receive Umrah applications online by Qatari authorities. The move to facilitate Qatari pilgrims to perform Umrah without electronic registration for packages comes at the directives of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman and Crown Prince Muhammad Bin Salman, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense, the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah said in a statement.
