The government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia today announced welcome of Umrah performers coming from Qatar, upon their arrival at King Abdulaziz International Airport (KAIA) in Jeddah, enabling them to book for Umrah packages directly without the need for pre-issued electronic registration at home, a practical solution of their problem following the denial of the Qatari authorities to grant them their right to electronically apply for Umrah visas at home when Qatari officials dared to block the Umrah-package electronic link allocated by the Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah to receive Umrah applications online elsewhere. In a statement, the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah explained that this action comes in implementation of directives of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, the Crown Prince, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense, who instructed that Qatari Umrah would-be performers be given access to enter the Kingdom, and book for Umrah package upon arrival at KAIA despite the Qatari blockade.
