Dar Al Majd International School celebrated its first annual award ceremony based on the theme "Islam An Integral way Of Life" recently. The objective of the event was to provide a platform for the students to showcase their inborn talents and skills and learn how to mould their lives according to the golden principles of Islam. Distinguished educationist and Psychopathologist Dr. Uzma Raheem, founder and director of Hope- for Exceptional Needs, was the chief guest. The event was also graced by the managing directors of the school. The entire program was beautifully orated in English and students from Kindergarten section and Primary section performed brilliantly in front of parents and other guests. The uniqueness of the event was that each child participated and got an award. The event consist of different sub-themes such as "Islamic Greetings" "Begin every task in the Name of Allah", ‘Display of Martial Arts', "Fun in Islam", "Who should I give my love to", "Unity in diversity", etc. Students' performances left the audience inspired, charged with Iman and leave with a mindset to make positive change in the world we live in, by becoming an inspiration for others. The most riveting performance, which drew unceasing applause, was the "the scientific experiment" performed by the Kindergarten students. Dr. Uzma Raheem applauded the efforts of the team and encouraged them to continue with acts of serving humanity. The Principal and Academic Director of the Dar Al Majd International School Ms. Salma Shaikh said, "DAMIS is earnestly devoted in setting new standards in education that will produce students of knowledge and virtue, whose hearts are filled with love and trust in Allah (SWT) and who are skilled verbally, mentally and socially blessed with visionary leadership. She also thank her highly dedicated team for organizing the wonderful program." Shaikh handed over a memento to the respected chief guest as a token of remembrance on behalf of the school management. The chairman of DAMIS Ismail Shaikh send an electronic message to the staff stating that school should be a mirror of the child's personality wherein education should constitute the inner beauty. He also congratulated all the teachers and the board members who put in a lot of effort in the grooming of their students. He wished them luck to build up stronger Muslim Ummah. The Directors of the school Ashuruff Hamsappa, Suhail Ahmed, Asif Pasha and Mohammed Saeed Ali thanked all the teachers and students.. The vote of thanks was rendered by the program convener Muneeba Palakkal. The program concluded with the Dua and National Anthem of Saudi Arabia. — SG
