Recently at the auditorium of Mahd Al Uloom International School (MIS) wore a festive look, illuminated with shining faces of kindergarten students as the school celebrated the 4th Graduation Ceremony of their UKG students. The celebrations began with the recitation of verses from the Holy Qur'an by Essa Khalid followed by its translation by Saad Junaid. "Young people are the hope and bright light of the future. These little ones that are receiving their first diplomas will be future high school graduates, moving forward to yet another new beginning in their life chapters. I wish to extend my congratulations to all who have graduated this year and teachers who have encouraged, nurtured, and taught the tiny tots. May Allah continue to bless them in their work," said the chief guest of the day Dr. Amena Yahya Munshi, consultant, Community Medicine Saudi Board from the Saudi Commission for health specialists and Coordinator of the national tuberculosis control and prevention program at Jeddah Province Consultant Community. Principal Salma Shaikh, in her address to the gathering, emphasized that the school not only offered the best in academics but also encouraged an overall development of the student through various extracurricular activities conducted and taught by talented and capable teachers. The cultural program began with a welcome dance followed by speeches on My School by Anam and My Family by Fathima Rayana and a tribute to mothers and teachers. Tiny tots of UKG showcased their talents on various performances such as Give thanks to Allah, traditional songs, Opanna and tribute to mothers and teachers. The cultural extravaganza was interspersed with the most important event of the afternoon — "The Graduation of UKG students to the Primary classes." The tiny tots walked on to the stage adorned in traditional convocation gowns and caps. Their smiling faces were welcomed by rapturous applause from the audience as they received scrolls of merit on the dais. It was indeed heartwarming to see parents as they watched their little angels grow into butterflies ready to flit away into the sky yonder. In conclusion, the vote of thanks was presented by Afshan Jabeen where she extended special thanks to the entire team for their hard work, dedication and commitment towards making the event an ever-memorable one.
