Okaz/Saudi Gazette JAZAN — The Yemeni community in Jazan hailed Saudi Arabia's donation of $500 million to support their country, which according to them reflected the Kingdom's keenness to see its neighbor secure and stable. A number of the community members thanked the Kingdom for standing by the Yemeni people in this difficult juncture in their history. The Kingdom donated the funds to finance the humanitarian response initiative in Yemen. Sheikh Muhammad Karal said the Kingdom always supported Yemen and saved it in the darkest of times. Suffice it to say that the Kingdom has fought the Iranian influence in Yemen and has not allowed it to destabilize the country or its stability, he said. "This is yet another generous donation from the Kingdom to Yemeni people. Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman is a real symbol of humanitarian work all over the world because he is keen to check on the welfare of Muslims all over the world," Karal said. Sheikh Ali Al-Adhal said no one has ever donated more money than King Salman who cares about the humanitarian conditions of all Muslims. From the beginning of the conflict, the Kingdom provided Yemen with humanitarian aid to Yemen and spent billions of dollars to mitigate the sufferings of the Yemeni people at the hands of the Houthi militias. To date, the Houthis continue to wreak havoc in Yemen by committing crimes against Yemeni people, usurping their property, putting them in prison unfairly, and even using them for political gains. The donation given by the Kingdom reflects its support for the legitimate government in Yemen, he said. Sheikh Salman Al-Nahdi said the Yemeni people will always be indebted to the Kingdom for standing by their country and protecting it against Iranian occupation.
