Deccan Knights and Natco score wins in ACE Travel Cup

JEDDAH – Deccan Knights defeated Jawar Al-Jazira, Natco got the better of ICC, Zinda Tilismat lost to Jeddah Projects, while ACE Travels beat Kanoo Travel in the 8th week matches of ACE Travel Cup Premier Division, which is sponsored and supported by the ACE Travel & Tours and organized by the Jeddah Cricket Association (JCA) here recently.
Deccan Knights defeated Jawar Al-Jazira by 39 runs. Batting first, Deccan Knights made 234-9. Najeeb (42) and Mazhar (70) put on 114 for the first wicket. Athar later added 36, Inayath 26, Sohail 16 and Imran 14. Asim claimed 2-30, while Ramzan, Shaun, Usman, Tariq and Umar bagged a wicket each for 33, 51, 44, 26 and 23 runs, respectively. In pursuit of 234, Jawar Al-Jazira was bowled out for 195 with 4 overs still to go. Asim 20, Shaun 34, Amer Shahzad 48, Azam 26, Sajid 16 were among the runs. Athar claimed 4-23. Inayath and Rabbani bagged two wickets each for 34 and 30 runs, respectively. Sohail gave away 47 runs for one wicket.
Natco beat ICC Irfan Basha by five wickets. ICC batted first and scored 181-8. Main contributions came from Azhar (38) and Umar (49). Jamshed and Usman claimed two wickets each for 33 and 40 runs, respectively. Sadiq and Shahzad Rana bagged one wicket each. Natco scored the required runs for the loss of five wickets. Jawad scored 32, Abdul Rauf 75, Hussain 25 and Jamshed 40 not out. Nabeel and Irfan claimed two wickets each for 42 and 40 runs, respectively.
Zinda Tilismat lost to Jeddah Projects by nine wickets. Zinda Tilismat opted to bat first, but was bundled out for 138. Urooj was its highest scorer with 37, while Noor contributed 13, Yaqoob 15, Saeed 19 and Fahad 15. Jawad claimed 3-29, while Mujahed and Kaleem bagged two wickets each for 23 and 19 runs, respectively. Jawad Ali, Mujtaba and Pervez had one wicket each. Jeddah Projects reached its target of 139 in 10 overs for the loss of one wicket. Saleem remained unbeaten on 56, Abid added 41 and Shareef was unbeaten on 23.
ACE Travel thrashed Kanoo Travel by seven wickets. Kanoo Travel scored 168-5. Akbar hit 94, while Ibrahim made 13, Adnan 14 and Pervez 25. Mohammad bagged 2-27, while Wajid, Aleem and Sadath claimed a wicket each. In reply ACE Travels scored 169 for the loss of three wickets with six overs in hand. Wajid blasted 66, Ayaz added 28, while Awad and Aleem contributed 17 not out and 24. Shahid, Akbar and Mehmood shared the wickets.
