JEDDAH — Reel & Rom defeated Al-Ghudaid by 4 wickets, Desert Warrior lost to strong Butt Sports Cricketers by 3 wickets, MHA beat Pak Young by 30 runs, IBS beat Stallions by 8 wickets and Hyderabad Green defeated Al-Barooj Al Sika by 8 wickets in the sixth week matches of the Jotun Paints Morning League which is organized by the Jeddah Cricket Association (JCA) and sponsored by the Jotun Paints Saudi Arabia here.
Reel & Rom defeated Al-Ghudaid with 4 overs to spare. Al-Ghudaid scored 194-2 through Osama 53 (8x4, 1x6) and Arsalan 106 n.o (9x4, 3x6). Franky David took 1-26 and Yaqoob 1-25.
In reply, Reel and Rom made 195-6. Nisar hit 25, Ayaz 27, Zubair 38 (2x6, 4x4), Wajid 53 (7x4, 1x6) and Muneer 23.
Arsalan, Osama, Aslam, Shahid and Nawaz got one wicket each.
Desert Warriors batted first against Butt Sports and was all out for 174. Razi smashed 32 (3x4, 1x6), Aziz 79 (6x4, 3x6) and Muzammil 20. Tariq and Junaid claimed 3 scalps each for 27 and 29 runs, respectively. Abdul Rahman got 2-22 and Atif 1-31.
In reply, Butt Sports, after losing two wickets early, found a savior in Tariq, who added 53 runs off 29 balls (5x4, 3x6), Junaid made 22 (2x4), Aijaz hit 39 off 22 balls (3x4, 2x6) and Atif contributed 14. Javed Butt hit 2 consecutive fours to overtake the target with 3 overs in hand. Basil claimed 3-18, Jay Kumar 2-22 and Alam 1-31.
MHA batted first and was all out for 165 against Pak Young. Usman top-scored with 32 (4x4, 1x6), Khalid made 22 (3x4, 1x6), Ali 18, Wali 20 and Raj 28 (3x6, 2x4). Tasawwar of Pak Young produced a devastating bowling spell to claim 6-22. Takdeer, Sajid and Riaz Afridi claimed one wicket each.
Pak Young, in reply, had a miserable day being all out for 135. Fazal Khatak hit 25, Ehsan 30 and Sajid 15. Riaz Afridi hit 3 fours in his 30. Attaur Rahman, Khalid and Ali claimed 2 wickets each.
Stallions were restricted to 129 by IBS. Ahsan top-scored with 62 (3x4, 3x6) and Hassan contributed 28. Ali grabbed 2-14. Qaisar, Mohsin and Nisar got one wicket each.
In reply, after losing two wickets, IBS's Waris and Shoaib took their team to victory without being separated. Waris scored 36 with 8 boundaries, while Shoaib contributed 34 with 6 fours and a six. Fuad claimed one wicket.
Al-Barooj Al-Sika put up 201-9 against Hyderabad Green-XI. Yassir blasted 68 off 39 balls (11x4) and Tahir 74 off 35 balls (10x4, 4x6). Yassir and Tahir's partnership was worth 119. Adeel claimed 3 wickets in one over. Waseem took 2-9 and Junaid 1-9.
Hyderabad Green's Khalid top-scored with 75 (14x4, 2x6) off 31 balls, Waseem 51 off 26 balls (7x4, 1x6) and Junaid 41 n.o. (6x4, 1x4). Jalal claimed 1-25 and Mohsin 1-21.
