Saudi Gazette report RIYADH — The Philippines Embassy successfully conducted a consular outreach mission, better known as Embassy on Wheels (EOW), in Ras Tanura last week. The EOW, which was held at the Ras Tanura Islamic Cultural Center, extended consular services to 520 Filipinos from Ras Tanura and nearby cities in the Eastern Region. The 5-member consular team from the Embassy headed by Third Secretary and Vice Consul Paulo V. Saret, together with 4 passport encoders, were able to serve 445 passport applications, 32 notarial services, 3 registrations of birth, and 16 passport extensions. The team also released 75 new passports. Saret expressed his gratitude on behalf of Ambassador Ezzedin H. Tago to the Ras Tanura Islamic Cultural Center Directors for their support to Filipinos in Ras Tanura and for allowing the Embassy to use the center for free as the venue of the EOW. He also thanked the Filipino community in Ras Tanura for their valuable support and assistance during the two-day consular outreach mission. Passport applicants for this Embassy on Wheels are advised to check the status of their new passport on the Embassy's website 4 weeks after application/encoding. Passports which are ready for release will posted in the website and the same can be claimed through the scheduled Embassy on Wheels in Al Khobar.
