Ambassador Ezzedin H. Tago thanked the Filipino community leaders and volunteers in the Eastern Region who helped the embassy consular team during the embassy's 10th consular outreach in 2012 and the 7th consular outreach for the Eastern Province. “We fully appreciate the sincere volunteerism and bayanihan of the community members in the E. Province,” said Ambassador Tago. The Philippine Embassy team traveled to Al-Khobar and rendered consular services to 763 Filipinos on May 24 - 25. Consul Mohd. Noordin Pendosina Noor Lomondot led the consular team which encoded 536 e-passport applications, six lost passports and processed 166 notary, eight authentication, 16 birth registration, and 29 emergency passport extensions. The embassy team included Melchor Remoral, Masrisa Nasser-Pancoga, Acas Bayabao Jr., Saipoden Manalao, Eva Dionio, Manuel Duran Jr., and Finance Officer Aniline Punzalan. The next Embassy on Wheels (EoW) will be on June 14-15 at Al-Jazeera International School, Dammam at Al-Rakah District in Al-Khobar and this will be devoted for passport services only. The Philippine Embassy in Riyadh announces the temporary suspension of e-passport appointments through text messages in effect from June 1. This is for both consular outreach and for appointments in Riyadh. All applicants are advised to schedule an appointment for the renewal of their passport through the embassy's website www.philembassy-riyadh.org. The online appointment system allows the passport applicant to choose the date and time of their preferred appointment, and confirms through an email sent by the software. As appointments for the next two consular outreach missions are full, the embassy also reminded all Filipinos to plan their intention to apply for a passport well ahead of the expiry date due to the demand for appointments and passports and the capacity of the team to process the biometrics of applicants.
