Published in The Saudi Gazette on 07 - 02 - 2013

JEDDAH – The Saudi Arabian Cultural Bureau in Canada recently honored Zamil Industrial Investment Company with a certificate of appreciation for the company's active participation in the commencement ceremony and career day event held for the graduates of King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Scholarship Program, which took place recently in Ottawa, Canada.
The first day of the event featured the graduation ceremony, a musical performance and reception, along with speeches from selected graduates, Yousef Abo Aish, Saudi acting charge D'affaires at the Saudi embassy to Canada, and Dr. Ali Al Beshri, cultural attaché at the Embassy of Saudi Arabia in Ottawa. The next two days were allocated to the initial "Career Day" exhibition, which was organized by the Cultural Bureau in Canada to enable companies to fill specialized vacancies while facilitating the job searches of the graduates.
Zamil Industrial gratefully accepted the certificate as an acknowledgement of the company's consistent efforts to support and promote both educational programs and the successful careers of dedicated students. The company is a frequent participant in training and education programs held in conjunction with world-class universities, operates its own training institute and sponsors scholastic teams and career fairs at events held around the world.
In an effort to facilitate the employment of nationals, Zamil Industrial is currently offering 450 job opportunities to Saudi nationals within its various businesses in Dammam. The selected candidates will receive the Talent Development programs required to improve their job skills and performance and prepare them for employment.
The jobs are divided into four categories as follows: 100 Saudi candidates to be trained for Zamil CoolCare maintenance division; 180 skilled and technician positions offered in various streams of skilled areas; 150 professional positions for suitable Saudi candidates with respective industry stream experience; and 20 fresh graduate engineers will be placed in the Saudi Graduate Development Program. — SG
