RIYADH – Police officers arrested 10 people involved in an attempt to assassinate Wadi Al-Dawasir Police Director Col. Saad Al-Subai'ee. Al-Subai'ee and the officer accompanying him were badly injured and were rushed to Wadi Al-Dawasir Security Forces Hospital and later airlifted to Riyadh Security Forces Hospital. Al-Subai'ee sustained severe injuries to the stomach and one of his legs in the shootout. He and the officer are recuperating in hospital, an informed source said. Meanwhile, Jazan Border Patrol officers arrested eight drug smugglers and seized 38 kgs of hashish in two separate operations.
