Road security officers in the Al-Selail Governorate have arrested a citizen in his 30s and a Yemeni resident for possession of 11 kilograms of hashish. The smugglers hid the shipment in the spare tire of a rental car. They were traveling from the Southern Region in Riyadh. When they reached the police checkpoint at Al-Selail, they tried to distract the attention of the security officers, but the vigilant officers were suspicious of their actions. They searched the car and found a large quantity of hashish in a secret pocket in the tire. The security officers seized the contraband and interrogated the men. They were later referred to the Anti- Drug Administration. In a related development, the Roads Security Patrols at Al-Selail detained a citizen in his 40s after a hectic chase. When they searched him and his family, they found that he was hiding about 75 kg of hashish in secret pockets in the van's roof. The road patrol officers handed the seized hashish and smuggler to the Anti-Drug Administration at Al-Selail.
