JEDDAH – Police raided a liquor distillery allegedly run by Ethiopian men in downtown Jeddah. Officers were tipped off about the illegal activities of a group of men who used a rented house to make alcohol and sell it to people. The house was put under surveillance for several days and the activities of the people going in and coming out of the house were closely monitored. When officers busted the house, they found four Ethiopian men making liquor. They also found hundreds of bottles full of liquor, which were being sold for SR100 to SR120 a bottle. A police spokesman urged property owners to closely monitor their rented property to make sure tenants were not engaging in illegal activities.
