JEDDAH – Jeddah police raided a liquor distillery run by an Asian gang and arrested the gang members. The gang used three apartments inside the same building located at Al-Bawadi neighborhood for their illegal activities. Police officers were tipped off about the gang's activities. They were told that some Asian expatriates were involved in illicit brewing. They were kept under police surveillance for several days. When officers spotted an Asian man coming out of the building carrying a white bag, they arrested him. They found liquor bottles on him. He immediately confessed that he had been in the business for some time and told the police about his friends in the other apartments. Officers raided all three apartments and in one of them two ladies were caught red-handed with three Filipino men engaged in unlawful activities.
