JEDDAH — Jeddah Civil Defense firefighters extinguished a huge fire that broke out Thursday near Abruq Al-Rughama historic area. The fire started in a pile of garbage and used tires that were thrown carelessly near warehouses in the area. Investigators are still trying to determine the cause of the fire, the spokesman for Jeddah Civil Defense said. The area where the blaze started is known to always have a large quantity of garbage spewed about, which poses a great threat to the public.
