JEDDAH – A cold wave is expected to hit the Kingdom's northern regions Wednesday, according to the Presidency of Meteorology and Environment (PME), the Saudi Press Agency reported Tuesday. Temperatures are expected to reach -2 to -5 degrees Celsius with chances of snowfall, a PME spokesman said. The western, eastern, and southern regions will be affected by the cold wave and the temperature will drop sharply in these parts of the Kingdom, the spokesman expected. He urged motorists, farmers and cattle owners all over the Kingdom to follow the PME's instructions posted on its website. The cold wave will end by next Sunday. Meanwhile, Al-Lauz Mountain in Tabuk witnessed a snowfall Tuesday while heavy rains lashed nearby towns and villages.
