Mishal Al-Otaibi Saudi Gazette RIYADH – Civil Defense authorities in Riyadh province have slapped SR220,000 in fines against a popular wedding hall in the capital city for various violations. Capt. Muhammad Al-Hammadi, spokesman of Civil Defense, said the wedding hall operators were in violation of a number of safety regulations while furnishing the facility. Wooden and fabric décor lay besides exposed electric cables. Al-Hammadi said the wedding hall was previously fined SR225,000. When the firm failed to comply with the safety regulations, the committee was forced to slap fines for the second time. The Civil Defense authorities have reported the repeated violation of regulations by the wedding hall management to the governorate. The deputy emir of Riyadh has issued orders to summon its owner and order him to remove the violations immediately.
