Fire in Jeddah food warehouse

Smoke billows from a food warehouse which caught fire in Jeddah's Al-Qurayat neighborhood, Monday. Civil Defense teams contained the fire and as a precautionary measure evacuated all students from the nearby Khaleej Private School. Col. Saeed Bin Sarhan, Makkah Civil Defense spokesman, said three firefighting teams rushed to the scene after getting the fire report.
The teams put out the blaze before it could spread to other nearby buildings. More than 20 water tanks were used to extinguish the fire, he added. — SG report and photo by Abdulrahman Al-Ali
