ABHA – The municipality in Abha has closed down over 30 shops for violating regulations. Ali Bin Marei Al-Shahrani, director of the Sultan City municipality branch in Abha, said rotten meat unfit for human consumption was confiscated. Fifteen shops were closed down for not possessing licenses while 17 shops were issued notices for committing several violations related to the general appearance of workers, not using hygienic equipment and stocking rotten food. He said punitive measures would be taken toward the shop owners. — SG
