DAMMAM — The General Court in Dammam on Tuesday adjourned for the third time the case of an Indonesian maid who was charged with killing a four-month-old baby in her care by putting rat poison in his milk in May 2010. The child's father, Ahmad Al-Boshal, said the court adjourned the case to next month because the hospital did not send a detailed medical report about the baby's conditions and the complications it developed. The court had requested the report a month ago. He said the maid was put on trial three years ago after she confessed to placing rat poison in the child's milk. Despite the passage of these years the court has not passed a judgment. He charged that bureaucracy and incompetence are directly responsible for the delay of this case and there were several inadequacies in previous reports provided by the hospital. He said the child's death was traumatic for his family and that his four-year daughter continues to ask about her baby brother Mishari. He said earlier the court asked him to bring in some papers. One of them was a letter from his wife authorizing him to demand the maid's execution on her behalf. – SG
