Yasmin Al-Sehami Okaz/Saudi Gazette DAMMAM — The announcement of the verdict against a housemaid who is accused of killing Mashari by feeding him milk mixed with rat poison was adjourned by the High Court in Dammam until Oct. 9. Ahmad Al-Boushal, the child's father, said: “Although all the parties involved in the case were present I was shocked when the announcement of the verdict was adjourned." Mashari breathed his last on June 13, 2010, after all the attempts by the doctors failed to save his life due to severity of the poison, which damaged his liver and blood coagulation. The poison also affected the heart muscle, blood circulation and immune systems. The father said the court has held 38 hearings so far and that delay of justice is denial of justice. He added that a representative from the Indonesian embassy and the defendant's lawyer were present at all sessions.
