QUNFUDAH — A policeman was killed when his car collided head-on with another vehicle. Five people in the second car were injured. The accident at Al-Eidabi intersection was the result of speeding and driving in wrong direction. Excessive speed was also blamed for a car crash that injured five young men in Riyadh. Two of the injured are in serious condition. Police said the five young men were injured when their speeding car crashed into an electricity pole on King Fahd Road. Meanwhile, the Aqabat She'aar road was closed for three hours following an accident involving two trucks.
No injuries were reported. In yet another accident reported on Wednesday, a truck carrying books and school supplies overturned on the coastal road, north of Al-Mezaileef center in Qunfudah. The driver, who had apparently dosed off, was transferred to Qunfudah General Hospital.
