Three young men died Friday morning when their car was struck by a truck on the Al-Darb to Jizan road. Three others were injured in the collision. In Dhulum one person was killed and ten injured in two separate accidents, the first when a vehicle overturned on the Taif to Riyadh highway, resulting in one death. The second accident occurred on the same road when a car collided with the crash barriers. The region of Taif recorded one death and over 50 injured in a number of separate accidents on Friday. Police officials said the accidents were the result of the considerable numbers of vehicles on the roads due to the end of the school holidays. In Jizan, a cement mixer truck caused a road to be closed for two hours after the driver lost control of his vehicle which left the road and turned over, finally coming to rest after crashing into roadside trees and skidding back into the middle of the thoroughfare.
