Crown, APF and Hala Gems win

JEDDAH – Crown Steel, APF and Hala Gems emerged winners in the CMDA Premier tournament, which is sponsored by Crown Steel, My Care Hala, Dopco Engineers, AOT GFC and Hyundai and organized by the Western Province Cricket Association.
Zultec batted first and was bowled out for 120. Abdulla Essa scored with 33 and Afaq 19. Abu Huraira bowled devastatingly to grab 4-18, while Abid Naseem accounted for 2-15 and a wicket each was picked up by Imran and Aftab Khan. Crown Steel was home with 7 wickets to spare as Abid Naseem played an unbeaten innings of 56 in 33 balls and Jafar scored 31. The wickets went to Akram, Usman and Yaseen.
Hala Gems halted the unbeaten run of Dopco Stars. Dopco Stars was all out for 148. Nadeem hit 35 and Maqsood 29. Hashim Khan took 2-14, Zahid Anwer 2-37 and Zeeshan 2-38 as a wicket each was picked up by Amjad and Amer Sajjad.
Hala Gems, in response, found Moazzam Shoukat in fabulous touch as he hit stroke 77 in 50 balls (12 fours and 2 sixes). Hashim Khan added 29 and Amjad 21 to help their team achieve the winning target of 151 in 87 balls for the loss of 3 wickets. The wickets were shared by Shahbaz Rasheed, Asim and Yusuf.
My Care Hala, electing to bat first, scored 203. Waqas Ausaf smashed 77 runs in 30 balls (5 sixes and 7 fours) and Irfan hammered 52 in 36 balls (4 fours and 2 sixes) as they added 113 for the 3rd wicket in 50 balls. Kashif scored 21 and Waheed 20. Zahid took 2-19, while Abdul Qayyum and Farooq claimed a wicket each. APF started the chase well with Khurram Karamat compiling 55 (11 fours and a six) in 23 balls and Farooque remained unbeaten on 53.
Awais scored 38 and Khurram 91 off 36 balls. APF was thus home for the loss of six wickets. Kashif Shafeeq, Waheed, Jawwad, Hussain Bhatti and Mohammed Taiyyab shared the wickets.
