Crown Steel, Dopco Stars and My Care and Hala shine

JEDDAH — Crown Steel, Dopco Stars and My Care & Hala came on top in 4th week action of CMDA Premier T20 Tournament 2012 here recently.
The T20 tournament is being sponsored by Hyundai, Crown Steel Engineering, My Care & Hala, Dopco Engineering and AOT GFC.
Crown Steel beat Hala Gems by 26 runs. Crown Steel piled up 182-8 in 20 overs after winning the toss and electing to bat. Abid Naseem scored 66 off 50 balls (4 fours and 2 sixes) after Crown was reduced to 54-3. Later Abuhuraira added 36, while Shafiq and Kamran scored 22 each. Imran Chaudhry took 2-14, Hashim 2-16, while a wicket each went to Kashan, Asif, Amir Sajjad and Moazzam Shoukat.
Hala Gems in reply got off to a flying start with Moazzam Shoukat hammering 65 off 36 balls (9 fours and 3 sixes) as Hashim Khan scored 24. The team, however, could only manage 156. Ijaz Mitha took 3-18, while a wicket each was picked up by Hammad Saeed, Aftab Khan, Shafeeq and Abuhuraira.
In another outing, Dopco Stars beat APF by 60 runs. Opting to bat first after winning the toss Dopco Stars racked up 200-5 in 18 overs. Shahbaz Rashid blasted 97 runs in 48 balls (8 fours and 4 sixes), while Maqsood scored 42 and Shoaib Ali 30. A wicket each was bagged by Murtuza, Arshad Choudhry, Zahid, Owais and Jawwad. APF in reply could only get to 140-7.
Usman hit 55 in 37 balls and Farooq made 33. Khurram took 2-23, Shahbaz Rashid 2-32 and Shoaib Ali 2-39, while Riaz Mohammed Khan bagged one wicket.
The third match saw My Care & Hala beat Zultec by six wickets. Zultec put on 149-9 as they lost wickets at regular intervals to be reduced to 104-8.
But Afaq (35 not out) and Usman (30) helped the team to a respectable total. Umar took 2-15, Hussain Bhatti 2-23 and Waqas 2-23 as a wicket each went to Jawwad and Faheem. My Care & Hala reached 152-4 in 106 balls thanks to Waheed (44), Waqas (38) and Kashif Shafeeq (34). Afaq took 2-28 while Khalid and Samer claimed a wicket each.
