9 killed, 2 hurt in road accidents

MAKKAH — Five people were killed and two others seriously injured in a traffic accident on the Qumaqa-Laith Road. Red Crescent rescue teams arrived at the scene and rushed the injured to King Abdulaziz Hospital in Jeddah.
The traffic police in Laith said another four people were killed after their car collided head-on with a pickup truck. The bodies were taken to a local hospital mortuary.
