MINA – Food supplies at Mina are adequate and the 2,200 restaurants run by major food companies can meet the catering needs of all pilgrims, according to Arif Qadhi, director of holy sites services at the Makkah Mayoralty. Moreover, there are 270 food stalls including bakeries and groceries that work around the clock, he added. “All restaurants and stalls are being supervised directly by the mayoralty and there are committees which are monitoring these establishments to ensure they are in compliance with health requirements. “Monetary and medical needs of pilgrims have also been met through the stationary ATMs scattered all over Mina and 12 pharmacies in various locations,” he added. The mayoralty oversees these services through 22 centers based in Mina. The centers have cleaning and environment supervisors and engineers who work in alternate shifts around the clock.
