JEDDAH — On the occasion of the Saudi National Day, a special assembly was held by the students of grades three - five in the premises of International Indian School Jeddah (girls' section). The girls paid tribute to King Abdulaziz Al Saud who unified the country in 1932. A stage act was performed by students who beautifully showcased the country's rich culture and traditions. The children then enthusiastically danced the traditional sword dance, also known as “Ardah”. Short speeches were delivered in English and Urdu by teachers who briefly shed light on the developments of the country. Everyone unanimously agreed that living in the Kingdom was a blessing that they would always cherish. The event came to an end with the students proudly singing the Saudi national anthem. — SG
