Ahmad Abdullah Saudi Gazette JEDDAH – A 35-year-old Saudi in Al-Zulfi, about 250 kilometers northwest of Riyadh, had a narrow escape after he was chased and attacked by his young housemaid holding a cleaver. The Saudi sustained cuts in several parts of his body. The Ethiopian housemaid, waiting for the Saudi inside him house carrying a cleaver in her hand, took him by surprise. When he entered the house, the woman attacked him. When he ran, the woman chased him. The woman cut arteries in the man's hand and hit him in his shoulder. The Saudi fell unconscious after escaping to the street. He was rushed to hospital by a passerby. At Al-Zulfi General Hospital, the victim had several operations in the head, shoulder and hand. He is reported to be in stable condition. A day before the attack, the 25-year-old housemaid escaped from the house, but was arrested by police and returned to her employer. Police took the housemaid into custody and investigations are under way to find out what provoked her to attack her Saudi employer.
