The people of Al-Ahsa laid to rest Wednesday the four-month-old baby boy Mshari Ahmad Al-Bawshal, who was killed by a housemaid with poison in his feeding bottle. The baby was in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at Al-Ahsa Hospital for four months but his condition deteriorated and he went into a coma. He passed away on Wednesday. The baby suffered from kidney, liver and lung failure because of the intensity of the poison. Ahmad Bawshal, Mshari's father, thanked Crown Prince Sultan for paying for Mshari's treatment at King Faisal Specialist Hospital in Riyadh. Mshari was transferred to Al-Ahsa Hospital suffering from breathing difficulties. An investigation conducted by the hospital showed that he drank a lethal poison. The father reported the incident to Al-Mubarraz Police Station, which opened an investigation into the case. During the investigation, the housemaid admitted that she had laced the baby's milk with a poisonous substance because he was crying continuously.
