JEDDAH – Jeddah Cricket Association (JCA) has decided to celebrate the Saudi National Day by holding two festival matches on Sunday. JCA, which was formed on a Saudi National Day, has been conducting cricket matches to celebrate the national day for the last three years since its inception. Khaled Almaeena, Editor-in-Chief of Saudi Gazette, will be the chief guest, while JCA patron and well-known Saudi writer Tariq Al-Maeena and Saudi Cricket Center CEO Nadeem Nadawi will also grace the occasion. JCA has also decided to honor Khaled Almaeena on this memorable day with an award, “The Soul of Cricket In the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia”, for his outstanding support and promotion of this game in the country. The two 25-over matches between Chairman X1 vs. President X1 and Vice Chairman X1 vs. Vice President X1 will begin at 9:00 A.M. At stake are special prizes and cash awards for the best performers. This event is being sponsored by Ibrahim M. Sanad Group. The teams will be picked from the JCA member clubs. The team managers and captains are requested to nominate four players for the proposed matches.
