Forty teams have already registered with Jeddah Cricket Association (JCA) during the first meeting held for registration of teams last week. JCA is expecting more teams before the deadline for registration. According to JCA administration secretary Haroon Abdullah the number would cross 50 before the festival matches for the JCA complex inauguration on May 29. After the recitation from Holy Qur'an by Salik Saleem General Secretary Syed Majeedul Hassan welcomed the managers and captains of the teams, special invitee Mohammad Shoukathullah and other guests. President Mohammad Iqbal thanked the efforts of Chairman Dr.Faizalabideen and all other committee members. Vice President Aijaz A Khan briefed on the construction work of the complex and assured that the work would be completed on time. Syed Zahid Ali, President of Madina Cricket Association (MCA), Mohammad Siadath Ali Khan, President of Khak e Taiba Trust, Mohammad Shoukathullah and Franky David attended the meeting. Azizullah Sheriff delivered the vote of thanks. In an earlier meeting, JCA named Aizaz Ashraf Toor as the advisor to the JCA executive committee and the chief coordinator of JCA inaugural festival matches, Azizullah Sheriff as JCA spokesperson and Haroon Abdullah as JCA Secretary Administration. __
