All arrangements have been completed for the formal opening ceremony of the Jeddah Cricket Association (JCA) Cricket Complex at Usfan this Friday. Two star international cricket players from the subcontinent are expected to attend the inaugural matches and a reception being organized on Thursday at the Golden Tulip. The matches scheduled are: International Indian School Jeddah vs. Pakistan International School Jeddah; Saeed Anwar XI vs. Mohammad Yousuf XI; Patrons XI vs. Chairman XI and the President XI vs. the Vice President XI. Eight pitches are ready for matches and two in the pipe line for natural turf with flood lights and grass turf wickets. Additional facilities are under design and shall be operational within a short period. Concrete pitches of the highest quality specifications have been laid. The professional pitch-laying process has been supervised by Eng. Zaheer Ahmed Khan from M/S Fatima Aqqad Est. group who has been working relentlessly for the last three weeks. For the inaugural ceremony, separate area for family, access road and car parking have been set up. Special tents, dressing rooms and a central stores area also are in place. Four festival matches of 20 overs will be played on Friday. The matches will start at 1.30 P.M. All the participating team members and their management are requested to be on time. Special travel arrangement is also being provided by JCA for the day. Two buses will depart from Al-Aziziah at 11.00 A.M. to the JCA complex. __
