RIYADH – The 2nd batch of graduates at the Saudi Electronics & Home Appliances Institute held the graduation ceremony Saturday at the headquarters in Diriyyah. The event, held in the presence of Prince Mohammad bin Khalid Al Abdullah Al Faisal, Chairman of Board Trustees; Ali bin Nasser Al-Gafis, Governor of the Technical and Vocational Training Corporation (TVTC); Shigeru Endo, Ambassador of Japan to Saudi Arabia; and Seiji Hirota, Secretary General, JCCME; was sponsored by Prince Ahmad bin Abdullah bin Abdul Rahman Al-Saud, Governor of Diriyyah. A number of businessmen also attended the function. Fahad Al-Harbi, SEHAI Director, made the opening remarks and said “after two years of hard study and training,” the graduates “are now ready and capable of working in service centers and maintenance workshops of the electronics and home appliances in the Kingdom.” He further underlined the “great role played by the partnership between the electronics and home appliances companies and the Technical and Vocational Training Corporation, which was a main supporter to the establishment of the Institute with support from the Human Resources Development Fund, … in addition to the great support of our friends from Japan, JCCME and NEEC.” Shigeru Endo, Ambassador of Japan to Saudi Arabia, said “since SEHAI was established on 2009, it has made great efforts and sent 67 promising human resources to Saudi market last year. And then, 89 students are graduating today.” Al-Gafis said “the Saudi Electronics and Home Appliances Institute is an obvious indication of the strong relations between the governments of Saudi Arabia and Japan, between the private sectors in both countries, and between the two nations… (which) contributed into the existence of this educational entity and the success it is making.”
