Officials of Saudi and Japanese working groups at Saudi Electronics & Home Appliances Institute pose for a photo call.JEDDAH: SEHAI (Saudi Electronics & Home Appliances Institute) geared into the second academic year with an incremental cooperation between the Saudi and Japanese working groups. At the conclusion of the five-day visit in Riyadh by Kenichi Sawaguchi, project leader of SEHAI, Japan Cooperation Center for the Middle East (JCCME), both groups confirmed their mutual understandings on the project implementation, in particular, the importance of conducting on- the-job training (OJT) program in January and June 2011. Ahmed Mohammed Al-Ghamdi, director, Riyadh Province branch, Human Resources Development, promised his positive and comprehensive cooperation to SEHAI, in terms of enhancing vocational and human development training program. SWG's head, Salim Al-Asmarei and Dr. Abdullah Abudulkareem, a member of SEHAI Executive Committee, as well as managing director of Alessa Industries Co. and other SWG member companies, including agencies of Sony, Toshiba, Hitachi, Daikin, Fujitsu-General and Samsung welcomed the delegation from Japan. Hiroya Tanikawa, executive director, JCCME, appreciated both groups' constructive activities in his speech at the meeting. Al-Asmarei expressed gratitude for the Japanese government cooperation on the tools and equipment supplied to SEHAI. The first shipment was delivered to SEHAI workshops on Oct. 9, 2010. The logistics will supplement the Japanese Course program at SEHAI.
