KHAMIS MUSHAYT — The Commission for Promotion of Virtue and Prevention of Vice (Hai'a) arrested a bootlegger outside a shopping mall in Khamis Mushayt Monday. A citizen collaborated with the Hai'a to catch the man and his accomplices. The Saudi ordered two bottles of alcohol priced at SR900 from the bootlegger, believed to be an Ethiopian, and fixed an appointment for delivery. The Hai'a members waited at the rendezvous and arrested at the man. Two bottles of liquor, a mobile phone and an undisclosed amount of money were seized from him. The mobile phone belonged to a Pakistani resident who had complained to the police that an armed gang of robbers seized his mobile phone and purse. — SG
