The Commission for Promotion of Virtue and Prevention of Vice (tha Hai'a) in Khamis Mushayt and Ahad Rufaidah uncovered 4,000 liters of the locally produced alcoholic drink araq hidden under mounds of sheep dung on Tuesday. “Hai'a officials inspected various sites in the area of Al-Wadiyayn and made the find under dung at unused farmland,” said Bandar Aal Mufrih, spokesman for the Hai'a in Asir. “They also found at the same site equipment for an entire alcohol factory.” Aal Mufrih said the materials were later destroyed, and added that a man of African origin was arrested at the site and that investigations were under way to identify his accomplices.
