RIYADH – Edwin Atienza, Celis Viloria and Johnny Pencilla splashed their deadly forms to lift D'Pirates over Itqan Tenpin Wizards, 26-10 and to capture the Team of the Week awards on the 7th Week of the IBG Friday Bowling League, 2nd Conference. Sharing bowling spotlight with the D'Pirates was the experienced and 300 perfect holder, Fhel Ramos by bagging the Bowler of the Week honor. The league is organized by the Itqan Bowlers Group (IBG) and sponsored by Hala International, Mabuhay Mobily in partnership with Globe. The games are being held at the Universal Bowling Center ((UBC). D'Pirates sweet victory against the Itqan Tenpin Wizards tightened their hold as the undisputed holder of the numero uno spot after the 7th week of action.Veteran Edwin Atienza sparkled to topscore in D'Pirates by exploding a towering four-game series scratch of 924. Atienza rolled 224, 237, 226 and 237. Celis Viloria and Johnny Penicilla scintillate too by knocking down separate series of 832 and 881. Dennis Gabriel and Benbol Velasco seared lanes to post 494 and 457 series in two games. Fareed Aquino and Rodel Molina dazzled to submit 374 and 366 points, respectively. Arnold Jesena impressed to be at the helm in Itqan Tenpin Wizards by firing a four-game series of 864. Nap Torres, Ronald Cruz and Ric Singson scored 776, 750 and 727 while Doy del Moral had 675 series in four outings. After so many hardships, the Roll and Bowl recorded an impressive win over Great Balls of Fire, 24-8. The win came through the good games Edgar Cambe, durable Fred Dioquino, Andy Carasig, Ernie Tulang and Archie Oliva. Cambe led by posting 803 points and he was followed by Dioquino and Carasig who toppled an identical series of 782 in four matches. Tulang and Olive came in next to Dioquino and Carasig by submitting 720 and 654. For the out-of-form Great Balls of Fire, the leading scorer were Jess Ambon (758), Ed Cruz (750) and Henry Pablo (737). Jojo Miraflor and Ely Fanugao recorded 623 and 498. In another match, the unstoppable NBA recorded a convincing victory against SABB Strikers, 24-6. The sterling performances of Bandar Al-Marshad and Joe Garrido helped NBA clobber SABB Strikers by tallying 889 and 859 points respectively. Mike Ecalnir, Joel Batolina and Ryan Inigo and team member Nelson de Vera added 397, 396 354 and 345 in order. Ahmed Al-Qarquosh shot 813 points to lead in SABB Strikers while next to him were Francis Gurdon and Rest de Jesus with 779 and 769. Allan John Oftener and Freddie Solomon registered 641 and 619.
