year-old boy, Mohammed Amaan-ur-Rahman, left all stunned as he claimed seven trophies at the Third Centrepoint MEIS Open Table Tennis Tournament 2012 here recently. The chief organizer of the tournament, Mohammed Ziaul Rahman, said the 6th class student of NMEIS participated in all age groups — Youth, Junior, Sub-Junior and Cadets — in the tournament and won them all. More than 20 schools from all over Saudi Arabia, including a strong contingent from International Indian School Dammam, participated in the four-day event held at the MEIS auditorium. The tournament was inaugurated by Mrs. Tabassum Farooqi, MEIS Group of Schools Principal and the Chief Patron of NMEIS TT Academy, Riyadh. Also present on the final day were: Francis D'Souza, Marketing Manager of Centrepoint, M. Ziaul Rahman, President and coach of NMEIS Table Tennis Academy. Mrs. Tabassum Farooqui praised the Academy's president and coach Ziaul Rahman and his team for organizing the tournament in such a professional manner. She emphasized the need to instill sportsman spirit in students while making them aspire for excellence. The sponsors also graced the occasion.
