The vigilance of a Saudi national here saw police officers arrest three persons for kidnapping a 10-year-old girl. The security patrols operations room received a report from the citizen that he noticed a car with three people picking up the girl from a side street. He was able to provide a description of the suspects. A team led by Brig. Gen. Saad Al-Ghamdi, Director of the Security Patrols Administration in Jeddah, monitored the area with an elite force of security patrol officers and privates. They discovered that the vehicle driven by the suspects was a hired car. The owner of the rental company provided the police with details of the persons who hired the car. One hour after the report, the security officers set up roadblocks in the area. They soon spotted the vehicle. The driver tried to escape but was surrounded and arrested. He confessed and led officers to his accomplices. One of the perpetrators said he dropped the girl off in a street in the center of Al-Jamea District. The officers found the girl after several citizens noticed her asking people for help. The officers calmed her and took her to a nearby hospital. Brig. Misfir Al-Je'aid, Spokesman of Jeddah Police, confirmed the arrests. Al-Je'aid warned the public to watch their children. __
