Jeddah Police have arrested a multinational gang for stealing 2 kg of raw gold from a shop in Al-Kandarah District early Saturday. The gang comprised of two Yemenis, three Bangladeshis, one Sudanese and a Somali and was led by a 40-year-old man. Toy pistols and the looted gold were recovered from their possession. Fingerprints lifted from the scene helped in the identification of the suspects who were later rounded up, Jeddah Police spokesman, Col. Misfir Al-Je'aid, told Okaz daily. The leader of the gang reportedly admitted committing the crime and led the police to all his accomplices. Col. Al-Je'aid said the gang was arrested six hours after the robbery. __
