Butt grabs 6 for 14 with a hat trick, Faheem hits ton

Khalid Butt of IDBG grabbed 6 wickets with a hat trick and hit 50 runs while Faheem of China Southern Airlines blasted a magnificent century to win against UCC, Fuchs Al-Hamrani downed Hala Academy Blue, Marine Services had the last laugh against Munch Bakery, Elaf Advance defeated Jotun Paints, Juffali AMI won against Contraco, Al-Safree got the better of Pak Kashmir and IDBG humbled GGI In the WPCA Afternoon Tournament.
GGI, batting first, was bundled out for 97 as Khalid Butt took 6-14 with a hat trick in his third over and then hammered 50 runs to power his team IDBG to 6-wicket victory. IDBG made 100-4 in just 69 deliveries. Ramazan slammed an unbeaten 33. Abid and Faizan took 2 wickets each. Earlier Zakir scored 35 for GGI.
China Southern Airlines (CSA) batted first against UCC and racked up 193-5. Faheem hammered 105 in 64 balls and Awais added 50 in 28 balls. They produced 122 runs for the first wicket. Raja Mudassir got 3-25 and Shahnawaz 2-27. UCC, while chasing made a good start with skipper Raja Mudassir making 35, Erfan 41 and Shahanwaz 61. The team made 153-9. Tauseef scalped 3-2, Farooq 3-23 and Uzair 2-28.
Juffali AMI piled up 157-5 against Contraco with Shuboor making 44 and Imran 40. Tahir took 2-35. Contraco, in reply, was bowled out for 108 to lose the match by 49 runs. Shahzad top-scored with 27 and Arfan hit 25. Mohammed grabbed 3-14, Hameed 2-4 and Najam 2-19.
Al-Safree batted first against Pak Kashmir and piled up 175-6 through Zahid 49, Manjeet Kumar 36 and Shakeel 28 not out. Omer scalped 2-18 and Shabbir 2-26. Pak Kashmir responded with 161-6 as Amir stroked 34, Minur made 32 not out, Ahmed and Shabbir hit 27 each. Waseeq Sherwani claimed 2-14.
Marine Services opted to bat first against Munch Bakery and tallied 202-7 through Shahzad 48, Tahir 43 and Shakeel 31. Mubashir grabbed 3-36 and Zain 2-7. Munch Bakery, in reply, was all out for 171 after openers Ebad Siddiqui (45) and Tariq (51 in 19 balls) gave it a good start. From 125 for 1 it slumped to to 156 for 8. Yaseen claimed 3-25, Naseer 2-21 and Asghar 2-53.
Hala Academy Blue used the track first against Fuchs Al-Hamrani and posted 153-8, to Abdulaleem who top-scored with 42. Talha hit 29. Saqib grabbed 3-30. Fuchs Al-Hamrani achieved the winning target on the last ball thanks to an overthrow. Rashid scored 38, Irfan Anjum 30 and Tauheed 27. Mehfooz and Abdulaleem claimed 2-32 each.
Elaf Advance defeated Jotun Paints after they tallied 181-4. Siddique batted magnificently but fell short of his ton by 9 runs. he made the runs in 52 balls. Usman Gulab hit 56 in 32 balls. For Jotun Imran took 2
