Munch Bakery, Pak Kashmir thru

United Cricket Club, AMI Juffali, China Southern Air Lines, MCC and newcomers Pak Kashmir and Munch Bakery won their respective matches in the WPCA Afternoon tournament here recently.
The first match saw United Cricket Club take the strike first against Pak Mecca-XI to get to 144-3 through Hafiz Shahzad making 78 and Shahzad 27. Pak Mecca-XI in reply fell short by four runs as Aamir made 50 and Yassir 22 to get to 140-6.
Another match saw Pak Kashmir opt to bat first against Jotun Paints. It piled up 173-6 as Ahmed Shah hit 60, Waqas 35 and Shabbir an unbeaten 20. Jotun Paints in reply could only get to 148-8 to lose by 25 runs as Mazhar compiled 39 runs and Ijaz remained not out on 27. Shoaib grabbed 2-14, Afsar 2-20 and Shabbir 2-25 for Pak Kashmir.
China Southern Air lines batting first racked up 166-8 against Al-Safree. Awais hit 44, Shoukat 41 and Abdullah 20. Waseeq took 3-35 and Atul 2-42. In reply Al-Safree was restricted to 113 as Tauseef grabbed 4-18, Asim 2-8 and Abdullah 2-22 with only Waseeq making 30 and Ahsan 27.
Munch Bakery opting to bat first made 173-4 against GGI with Ebad Anis Siddiqui making 88 and Rana Shahzad 42. Waqas took 2-50. GGI in reply was restricted to 121 as Shahid grabbed two for none, Rana Shehzad 2-17, Abdul Rauf 2-22 and Ibad Anis 2-37. Munna scored 49 for GGI.
Arif Gymkhana scored 164-4 against AMI Juffali thanks to Danish, who hit 73. Ajlan remained unbeaten on 28 and Shoaib scored 21. AMI Juffali scored 166 off 88 balls for the loss of two wickets as Imad hit an unbeaten 69, Imran remained not out on 41 and Mustafa scored 29.
Mardan Cricket Club successfully chased the victory target of 141 set by Desert Lions with six wickets in hand. Aftab Khan made 54 and Zahoor 17 not out. Earlier desert Lions made 140-6 with Seraj making 42 not out, Rumesh 27 and Rohan 22. Zahoor took 2-32 and Yaseen 2-27.
Morning tournament
AAA restricted ATS to 109-6 as Dr. Basheer made 27 and Imtiyaz 24 not out. Abdul Rehman bagged 2-18 and Nasir 2-12. AAA responded with 110-5 off 88 balls as Sadiq Memon top scored with 38 and Syed Ashraf hit 30. Vivan scalped 2-32 and Yusuf 2-22.
QRCC made 141-7 against Rayyan thanks to mainly to Zahid for his 60 as no other batsman could get into double digit score. Afzal claimed 2-18 and Hanzeb 2-30. Rayyan in reply was home with 142-4 as Qayyum made 56 and Tahir 45 not out. Irfan took 3-28 for QRCC.
