Batsmen, bowlers share honors in WPCA

China Southern Air Lines, My Care Hala Green, GGI and Zultrack emerged winners in the WPCA Afternoon action as AAA, Orbital Horizon and ATS defeated their respective rivals in the WPCA Morning tournament played here recently.
China Southern Airlines beat Pak Kashmir by 61 runs. Batting first the Airlines players racked up 199-6 in 20 overs. Awais hit 75 and Shoukat 45 to put on 122 runs for the second wicket. Skipper Abdullah later added 38. Afsar Khan took 5-36. Pak Kashmir in reply was bowled out for 138 as Tauseef grabbed 4-5, while Ahmed Shah top scored with 50.
My Care Hala Green scored a 7-wicket win over Al-Safree. Batting first Al-Safree piled up 184-3 with Manjeet Kumar smashing 80 and Shakil making 29. My Care Hala Green lost two quick wickets for 11 runs but Azhar (73 off 29 balls) and Yasir (unbeaten 73) put on 144 runs for the third wicket to help their team acheive victory target of 185 for the loss of three wickets.
GGI beat Arif Gymkhana by two wickets. Taking the strike first Arif Gymkhana scored 116-7 with Danish making 27. Rafiq took 3-19 and Adnan 2-15. GGI in reply was home with 117-8 with Parvez stroking 30 and Zahid 29. Arsalan took 2-32.
Zultrack edged IDBG by six runs. Zultrack used the track first to put on 145-9 through Nawed (45), Rashid (36) and Subail (21). Abdullah Shah scalped 3-10 and Abubaker 2-23. IDBG was restricted to 139-7 as Ramazan made 27 and Waseem 18. Imran took 2-20 and Subail 2-23.
The Morning Session saw ATS beat Hala International School by six wickets. Hala opting to bat first scored 138-5 through Hamid (49) and Anas (39). Nadeem bagged 2-33. ATS in reply reached 140-4 as Pervez scored 52 and Vivin 39. Saad grabbed 3-13.
AAA thrashed Al-Mazroi by five wickets. Al-Mazroi batted first and was bundled out for 162. Faisal made 30, while Farook and Faizan scored 19 each. Tahir Ayyub took 3-30, Nasir 2-20 and Rafiq 2-36. AAA's Tahir Ayyub put on a fine all-round performance to hit an unbeaten 76 as Abdulrauf made 27 to help their team get to the winning target of 167 for the loss of five wickets. Abdullah took 2-20.
In other matches ALJ Toyota beat QRCC by two wickets and Orbital Horizon beat Marine Services Blue by 97 runs.
