Nine matches were played at the Riyadh Cricket Association (RCA) FUCHS Cup 2012 on March 2, with the KFSH Blues, KFSH Greens, Al Hamra and Attiya Steel qualifying for the semifinals. In the first match of the morning held at RCA-1 grounds, TBCC thrashed Riyadh Panthers by eight wickets. Batting first, the Panthers could only manage 141 for 4 in 20 overs. In response, TBCC achieved the target in 12.1 overs. Ahmed Kabeer of TBCC scored 59 to help his team reach the target comfortably. In a Super League 40-over match, KFSH Blues beat FUCHS by two wickets. KFSH Blues has won the toss and elected to field first. Batting first, FUCHS scored 270 all out in 39.4 overs. KFSH Blues bowlers started the match well by taking the first six wickets of FUCHS for just 138 runs, but the lower order of FUCHS batted responsibly and posted a fighting total of 270 on the board. The top scorer for FUCHS was Nazim who scored 48, while Javaid and Rizwan contributed 36 each. Raja Gulraiz of KFSH Blues took 3 wickets. KFSH Blues achieved the target in 32.3 overs for the loss of eight wickets. For KFSH Blues, Nasir Abbasi scored 75 of 29 balls, Saqib Abbasi played cautiously and scored 52, but the decisive innings were played by Khurram Baig who scored 64. After this win, KFSH Blues has qualified for the semifinals of the Super League where they will meet their archrivals Pak Shaheen. The third match of the day saw the Riyadh Warriors triumph against the Tigers. Riyadh Warriors remained unbeaten in the group stages of the Premier League-2. Batting first, Riyadh Warriors scored 238 for 4 in 20 overs. Asif, Abdulaziz and Sameer were the major contributors, scoring 95, 60 and 45 runs, respectively. In response, the Tigers scored 195 for 7 in 20 overs. For them, Jewel made 66. In another Premier League-2 match, Riyadh Fighters beat Kashmir XI comfortably. Batting first, Kashmir XI scored 170. Riyadh Fighters achieved the target in 13.3 overs. In this match, Imran Younis, Riyadh Fighters captain, smashed 101 runs of only 31 balls. In the last match of the morning session, Seham beat Crescent. In the first match of the afternoon session, Al Hamra beat Stallions by 9 runs — another exciting match where two top teams of Premier League-1 were vying for a slot the semifinals. Batting first, Al Hamra scored 190 in 20 overs; Stallions could only score 181. Zahid Mir of Al Hamra was declared Man of the Match for his excellent performance, scoring 51 runs and taking four wickets. Asif of Stallions also played well and scored 45 runs and took three wickets. In another Premier League-1 match, Attiyah Steel beat Thales, which scored 191 in 20 overs. Hameed Gul was Thales's highest scorer, scoring 65 runs. Ramazan Butt took three wickets while Attieh Steel scored 192 in 15.5 overs. Nasir scored 77 and Ramzan scored 64 for Attieh Steel. Butt was declared Man of the Match. Hyderabadi Warriors beat Pak Eagles in another Premier League-1 match. In the last match of the day, KFSH Greens beat CKK by three runs. This was another tight game where KFSH Greens kept the nerves and won the match. Batting first, KFSH Greens scored 200 in allotted 20 overs. Rifaqat of KFSH Greens was in great touch and scored 100 not out. This was his second consecutive century in the FUCHS Cup. CKK could only reach 197 in their 20 overs. After this victory, KFSH Greens has also qualified for the semifinals of the Premier League-1.
